Terms of service

In these terms, "locwinn", "we", and "us" mean Bamahut LLC, a California limited liability company, which operates locwinn.com.

1. What you're buying

A subscription license to install and use the locwinn software on Windows machines you own or administer. The installer download is public; your license key — delivered by email after purchase and visible in your account — is what activates it. Licenses are personal and non-transferable.

Who you buy from. Purchases are processed by Paddle, our authorized reseller and the merchant of record. Your payment contract is with Paddle, which handles billing, invoicing, and any sales tax or VAT due in your country. Paddle's own terms govern the payment itself; these terms govern your licence to use the software. You pay Paddle; you use our software.

2. Billing and cancellation

Plans auto-renew (yearly at $99/year, every three months at $34.99, or monthly at $14.99) until cancelled. Prices are shown before you pay; any sales tax or VAT is calculated by Paddle at checkout and may be added on top. Cancel any time from your account's billing portal, which is operated by Paddle; your license then runs to the end of the period you've paid for and doesn't renew. You never need to email a human to stop a charge.

3. Refunds

Fourteen days, any reason. Email license@locwinn.com within 14 days of your purchase and you get your money back, without having to explain why. The full policy is on the refunds page, which is part of these terms.

After 14 days we don't refund, including part-used subscription periods. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancelling stops the next charge and your license runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. The monthly plan exists so you can try locwinn for the smallest amount we can offer, rather than buying a year you are unsure about.

A refund revokes the license: new installs stop working, and an already-installed machine keeps its block until its cached receipt expires. Paddle is the merchant of record, so refunds are issued by Paddle, and Paddle may also refund on its own initiative or to resolve a payment dispute. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights, including the 14-day withdrawal right where consumer law provides it (EU/UK).

4. The uninstall lock — informed consent

locwinn's defining feature is friction against removal, as described on the uninstalling page, which is part of these terms. By installing, you confirm you understand the mode you chose — including that Nuclear mode delays your ability to remove the software by the period you selected (up to a year), with the removal password delivered by email only after that period. You chose the lock; the lock will hold.

5. Consent and age

You must be 18 or older to purchase. Install locwinn only on machines you own or administer, and only for yourself or for someone who knows about it and consents (or your minor child, where you're the parent or legal guardian). Installing it covertly on another adult's machine is a violation of these terms. If you found locwinn on your machine and don't know why, see the support page — there's a respectful path for you.

6. Honest limits (no warranty of perfection)

locwinn blocks adult sites across the major Windows browsers. It is provided "as is": we do not warrant that it blocks every adult site, in every browser, under every network configuration — VPNs and determined circumvention can defeat it, as they can any consumer blocking tool. It is a self-control aid, not a guarantee, and not a substitute for professional help where that's needed.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, locwinn's total liability for any claim arising from the software or these terms is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Fair use of the service

Don't resell license keys, share them beyond your own machines (each license covers up to 5 installs), abuse the API, or attempt to interfere with other customers' service. We may revoke licenses that violate these terms, without a refund.

9. Changes

If these terms change materially, we'll update the date above and notify active subscribers by email before the change applies to them.
